What is Acupuncture? Traditional acupuncture is based on ancient Chinese theories that Qi (energy) and Xue (blood) flow freely throughout the body just as nerves and blood vessels do. It is believed that the free movement of these components promotes health, and acupuncture is thought to encourage and aid in this physiological process. Over a period of thousands of years the Chinese have mapped out a series of points along the body, the locations of which have been recently confirmed through modern electromagnetic research. Acupuncture is the insertion of fine needles into the skin at these sites for the the purpose of restoring balance of health within the body, and thereby providing effective treatment of specific health problems. What is Facial Rejuvenation Acupuncture? It is a safe, virtually painless, non-surgical method of reducing the signs of the aging process. By increasing local circulation of blood and lymph to the face, the skin is moisturized from within, while collagen production, muscle tone and dermal contraction are increased. This specialized form of acupuncture also helps to tighten the pores, brighten the eyes, and improve hormonal balance to help acne and reduce stress evident in the face. An excellent alternative to the surgical facelift, this inexpensive series of treatments can help take years off your face and improve your overall health -- naturally!
